About

Amy Perri, B.A., eRYT500, Reiki Master

Practicing for nearly 25 years, Amy began with pre-natal yoga while expecting her first son in 1996.  The transformational quality, along with yoga’s ability to cultivate self-acceptance, gratitude and compassion, led Amy down the path of teaching in order to share the amazing life-changing qualities with others.

After completing her 200 Hour Teacher Training with Into This World Yoga Productions on Long Island in 2007, she became eager to expand her knowledge. Combining her love of vinyasa yoga with a strong desire to dive deeper into yoga’s spiritual teachings, she was drawn to continue her studies with Rolf Gates, (Master Yoga Teacher and acclaimed Author of “Meditations from the Mat”).  Amy completed Rolf’s 500 Hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training in 2010 from which she graduated as a Yoga Alliance Certified 500 Hour ERYT.

As a practicing Reiki Master, Amy offers Reiki Trainings & Attunements, Reiki Circles,  and Healings.  She also provides classes that combine essential oils,  sound therapy and yoga to bring her unique talents together promoting as sense well being to all.

Amy enjoys teaching adults and children, bringing yoga to the developmentally disabled and presenting workshops in area libraries and studios. She also takes great pride in using yoga as a fundraising tool to support local charities.

Her love of musical chanting has taken her harmonium and musical friends on the road, providing music & chanting for asana classes and Kirtan.  “Chanting is a spiritual practice that quiets the mind, engages the body and channels “Shakti”, universal energy from the deep seat of the soul straight to the heart”

“I hold tremendous gratitude for the great teachers that led me down the path of yoga and continue to inspire and guide me as well as all the students that keep me grounded and push me forward at the same time. It is my hope that you too discover the teacher that lies within as you journey into the sacred practice of yoga”Prayer Chair

  1. If yoga is a path that can lead you home to your true self, then Amy’s is a nice place to stop for directions. Amy’s classes provide a comfortable, non-judgmental place to develop and uncover your own yoga practice… and it’s fun!

  2. Hi Amy,
I participated in your yoga classes at the NSPL this summer (Wednesdays mornings August 2014.) I spoke with you today at the beginning of class about the classes you teach at your studio in RP. I was wondering if you could email me the weekly PM schedule as of September and the fees. I was not able to find all of the fees on your website. I thought you said individual classes were $12 but that you have cards for 5 or 10 classes as well. If you could please advise on where to look on the site or email me the schedule and the fees that would be helpful in allowing me to plan for September/October. Thank you.
    Jen
