Hari Om!

I decided to forego class tomorrow morning since I will be doing preparation for the labyrinth celebration forthcoming that evening.

If you have RSVP’d and plan on coming to the celebration, please arrive promptly and park head in to curb around the culdesac. I will have some light refreshments and infused water available but Feel free to bring any spirited drinks to share if you like.

A gentle yoga session will begin at 6:30 followed by an introduction to the labrynth. Even if you’re not Planning on practicing with us try to arrive at 630 so you can simply set up your chair and be in the space.

We will be holding a blessing and dedication shortly thereafter and start on our walk through the labyrinth.

If we beat the incoming possible rain we will have a fire… I am so excited about opening the labyrinth with all of you. It is truly a dream come true!

Dear yoga friends

Hari Om Dear Yoga Students,

“Santosha, or the practice of contentment, is the ability to feel satisfied within the container of one’s immediate experience”

Donna Farhi

Feeling satisfied within the container of one’s immediate experience means to meet the present moment with a fresh perspective and open up to everything it has to offer.  Satisfaction combines the energies of acceptance and gratitude

When you allow your expectations to fade and your perceptions to clear becoming empty of past impressions you step into the present and into the sacredness of life.

Yoga this Week-May 21, 2023-No Friday class-please read for some exciting info!

Dear yoga sangha,

I’m thrilled to announce that our community labyrinth is completed. Except for the fine tuning of planting flowers and decorating, it is ready to be enjoyed.

I am planning on holding two Soft Openings at our 930am Tuesday Morning and 615pm Wednesday Evening classes this week. If whether permits we may do our practice outdoors before or after walking the labyrinth. Please come prepared.

The official opening celebration of the labyrinth creation will be held on Friday Evening June 2nd at 6:30 PM with the rise of the Full Strawberry Moon!! Details will follow.

This labyrinth is a labor of love and commitment to deepen our spiritual practice as well as strengthen our community connection. I owe many thanks to my sweet husband for joining in on the journey and working so hard to make manifest a long held vision of mine. May our practice create far reaching peace for all🙏

Much love,

Amy

Dear yoga friends,

Hoping this message finds you well. In between the stimulus and response there is a space. Yoga helps to create that space so we can make a choice; a choice to be present, to be patient, to be kind, to be wise, to create appropriate boundaries, and to choose love. A space to feel into your heart and take the right action for the good of all including yourself.

Only one more phase!

Stage 5 of Labrynth

Greetings dear yoga students

Only two more stages till our labrynth is complete. We are shooting for spreading the stones the weekend of May 20th if all goes the way we planned. If you’d like to volunteer some time, we would love to have the help!

The manifestation of this project is a vision materializing in front of me. It’s been such a great experience already and it’s not even done. It so true that the goal is not as important as the person you become along the way.

“Birds are a miracle because they prove to us there is a finer, simpler state of being which we may strive to attain.”
Doug Coupland

Greetings dear yoga students,

I have been so enamored by all the birds visiting my feeder this year.  So many varieties, sizes, shapes and colors fill my vision with vibrancy and joy.  I often think about the way they live.  So simply in tune with each other and nature.  They are a constant reminder not to take life so seriously. Much like my time on my yoga mat, observing them reminds me to trust, let go and fly into the moments of my life with purpose, freedom and joy. Birds are truly a miracle to behold. Try taking a couple centering breaths and watch the birds. Acknowledge their beauty and resourcefulness and see if any deeper insights arise.

Looks like the spreading of the stones on our labrynth will be tentatively Saturday May 20th. Any and all volunteers are appreciated. We also need a couple wheelbarrows if you would like to lend. They say the goal is not what’s important but it’s how you grow along the way. Meeting some obstacles and some delays, We are learning how patience allows us to let go, trust and enjoy the process.

The labyrinth literally reintroduces the experience of walking a clearly defined path. This reminds us that there is a path, a process that brings us to unity, to the center of our beings. In the simple act of walking, the soul finds solace and peace.

Dear yoga friends,

Happy Earth Day!

“In the confrontation between the stream and the rock, the stream always wins – not through strength, but through persistence” Buddha

Hoping this message finds you enjoying the amazing signs of spring that are popping up all around us. Think about the perseverance and patience that nature is gifted with.  The small bulbs that wait silently underground, the perennials that lay dormant waiting for the signals and signs that it is time to begin their work of opening, pushing, growing up out of the dark earth into the light.  Nature does not give up, it finds a way to regenerate

The Yoga Sutras tell us is it the obstacles that lead us into a deeper understanding of ourselves. Directly confronting our difficulties with clarity, compassion and persistence creates freedom.  Freedom in knowing you are never really trapped in any situation.  For today, see if you can change your perspective to any “rocks” that are in your stream.  Stay focused, do the next right thing, however small it may seem, and try and find the lesson, the jewel that is hidden within.  Today, be persistent in your journey towards balance, freedom, peace and serenity in your life
