
“From wherever the mind wanders do to its flickering and unsteady nature, one must certainly withdraw it and bring it back under the control of the self” The Bhagavad Gita 6:26
The above quote is from the chapter entitled Dhyana Yoga. Dhyana, which is the seventh limb in Patanjali’s eight limbs of yoga, translates as the liberation of mind from all disturbing and distracting emotions, thoughts and desires.


Keep in mind (pun intended) that these two sacred books (Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and The Bhavavad Gita) were both written sometime around the 2nd Century bce. It is something Humanity has been struggling with for a very very long time. So have patience with yourself and remember; any effort on this path is NEVER wasted!
