Hari Om my Friends!

I’m Back!  Costa Rica was a combination of rest and adventure; An immersion in the natural  worlds of jungle and aquatic life. Wherever I went, I had a strong sense of being home and that pure, welcoming abundant energy was palpable in the people and the land! 

From whales and dolphins to sloths, monkeys, iguanas and toucans, I felt blessed to share moments with these amazing beings.

Never underestimate the power of immersing yourself in the natural world. We are all sharing this Earth and each being is an integral part of this ever changing environment. Do your best to tune in to Nature often and  find a sense of peace, comfort and home wherever you may be.

Reminder that there is no class tomorrow ( I may have said I was going to teach but, unfortunately, I will not be able to).

Wanted to let you know that there are two bottles of my good friend, Melissa’s, local grown honey for sale in the yoga room. When you come to class let me know if you’re interested. I have a bottle and it is amazing honey. This is her last crop until the fall. Check it out when you come to class tomorrow morning

As we approach The 1st of August (also known as Lammas), the mid-point between Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox,  we give thanks to Mother Earth and the Sun.   We ask for protection and blessings as we begin to harvest what we have sowed. 

It is also a pivotal time to embrace the cycle of life, death, rebirth and infinity. A true lesson in Raga: the Sanskrit word for attachment and how it causes only suffering.  So enjoy today as it is and as you begin to notice the days becoming shorter remember all things must pass, even the glorious season of Summer.  Most of all give thanks for all Mother Nature freely gives us all!

Join us for our Reiki Circle coming up next Monday. All proceeds to go Little Flower!  Beach yoga also resumes on August 14th where our friends Derek and Jim will be providing live music for our class.
