Yoga this Week – December 27, 2020

*Please note there is no Chair Class Monday Morning as well as no Yoga Class Friday Morning.

Below is a prayer we have read many times as a group at our Winter Solstice Gatherings.  I hope you enjoy it and know that I am so thankful for all of you.  It has been quite a  year for us all.  There have been many hardships, adjustments, strange new ways of doing things but also there has been much beauty in seeing selfless people doing such amazing outreach,  the connections we treasure have grown even more precious, and the littlest things bring up profound gratitude.   Loss and struggle certainly tell us a lot about ourselves and others, may we be gentle and loving and we observe our thoughts and actions.  I hope this new year brings us all some peace and light and courage to trust that grace has our back.  Happy and Blessed 2021 to you and yours and all of us!

A Prayer of Gratitude for the New Year

Thank you Creator for the life you have given me. Thank you for giving me everything that I have ever truly needed. Thank you for the opportunity to experience this beautiful body and this wonderful mind. Thank you for living inside me with all your love, with your pure and boundless spirit, with your warm and radiant light.

Thank you for using my words, for using my eyes, for using my heart to share your love wherever I go. I love you just the way you are, and because I am your creation, I love myself just the way I am. Help me to keep the love and the peace in my heart and to make that love a new way of life, that I may live in love the rest of my life. Amen

  1. Hi Amy,

I wanted to thank you for this morning’s meditation. My friend Kathy Lindahl suggested I participate..I am trying to engage in a daily practice of meditation. This is a great way to start off the week. I appreciate your dedication to keeping us centered.

It seems like such a long time ago since we met at Trinity Nursery School but what I know to be true is that the universe has the answers if you pay attention.

Happy New Year and many blessing to you.
