In yogic philosophy the term “upekkha”, known as one of the four keys to liberation (the brahmaviharis) means stability in the face of the complex nature of life especially when we are at odds with something. It is evenness of mind that is not upset by gain or loss, success or failure, creating everlasting joy and freedom from life’s ups and down. It is from stability that we create flexibility and become less rigid and more pliable.
Be stable. Press your feet into mother earth, lift your gaze and stand firm. Although the wind blows fiercely….you stay; open, authentic and free.
