Yoga this Week-February 20, 2023

In Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra 1:33, the four keys or Bramavihara’s are given as a way to purify the mind in relation to the people around us and our relationship to ourselves. Truly dwelling in these four states requires changing how you experience and perceive yourself and others. Loosening the bonds of self-reference and ego is especially important as we tend to think about everything as how it effects us. Try cultivating these virtues in formal practice and then take them out into your day, keep them close to your heart and you may find you will be a little less stressed, a little less triggered and a little more kind and wise in your actions.
