Awaken- to Rouse from sleep. To have cause to stop sleeping
Bloom- to mature into one’s potential and shine
Nourish- to encourage and cultivate growth and abundance
Flourish- to grow in a healthy or vigorous way especially as a result of a favorable environment

Greetings dear friends,
Spring has sprung and our hearts are opening up like Lotus flowers in the morning sun. Our Spring Awakening Mini-Retreat was a beautiful expression of what can happen when our sangha comes together in community!
Together we awaken with the potential to bloom. We nourish ourselves and in turn we flourish as a community and individuals with the ability to lift each other up as well as the community at large.

“Now is set forth the authoritive teaching on yoga. Yoga is the ability to direct and focus mental activity. With the attainment of focused mind, the inner being establishes itself in all its reality”
Yoga Sutra of Patanjali 1:1-3

Yoga is to calm the fluctuations of the mind so you can open the door to your inner self. You know when she (your inner self) shows up because you are suddenly unafraid, calm and you engage with the moment instead of trying to grasp or push away. You will also know when your inner self is guiding you in a posture because suddenly you are unafraid, calm and you engage with the flow of the pose not clinging or pushing it away. Begin to notice when you quiet the chattering mind, even for a moment or two, you may just have the sensation that you are exactly where you are meant to be and everything and everyone in your life is as well. This is moksha…freedom.

**No Friday this week**
Wednesday Evening Full Moon Gathering – October 16th at 615pm

This month’s Gathering will include practices to enhance our transition into the fall months as we honor the energy of the Full Moon. Watch this week for further details!

“A community of friends becomes an extended family. These communities give us what we can call rituals of survival, ways to connect with others and hold our lives in place. No matter what age we are to be fully human we need to feel embedded in community.” Mary Pipher (excerpt from Women Rowing North)

Blessings on the Autumn Equinox!
As with nature, everything in our lives has its seasons and its cycles. It is so important to have a community where we can find grounding and support; “Rituals of survival” to hold our lives in place.

In this spirit, our Wednesday evening class will take on a new format. We will now be meeting once a month in a Woman’s Circle to practice with the feminine receptive energy of each full moon. Date will be posted each month. Spots will be limited so rsvp as soon as you can. So excited to create new themes and yoga practices for each month!

“When you truly embrace this concept of change being constant, the only thing left to do is grow, detach, venture inwards, touch the spirit and find your source — the one responsible for keeping you grounded through the ever—changing seasons of life.” Julie Weiland
