Each on- line class will include a few minutes so we can greet each other and/or share our thoughts.  Let’s make something terrific no matter how dark the present!

Greetings dearest yoga students,

The above quote means more to me now than ever.  As the days in social isolation linger on I feel the need to connect growing deeper each day.

So….. in an attempt to help us all to stay consistent with our practice and connection as a community , I am offering ZOOM Yoga Classes on line.  (See below for the invitation to Register for Tomorrow Morning’s class.)   This week all the classes are FREE to you to explore this modality.  Next week I will begin charging for classes, therefore, you will have to register and then you will be able to receive the password required to enter the class. This week there is no password needed as I am still learning how to do this!  If you prefer, you can access Recorded Videos for Free anytime  HERE  on my website or on my YouTube Channel HERE

Beginning next week, Live Zoom class pricing will be as follows:

Students who have a prepaid class card will receive half price classes (2 for 1) $6 each class (normally $12)

Students who do not have a prepaid class card will have to pay through Venmo  or Paypal (contact me for  paypal ) at $10 per class. (normally $15)

You can also feel free to purchase a class card at $65 for 5 (10 on line classes) or $120 for 10 (20 on line classes)

ALSO, this is a very trying time, if there are any concerns at all financially, please contact me.  No one will ever be turned away due to financial issues!  This has always been true for all my classes, in person or on line, so please do not hesitate to let me know.

Yoga this Week – March 23, 2020

Utkatasana (chair pose)  exemplifies the amazing ability of the human spirit to rise up and find the strength, grace and power we didn’t even know we had.  As of late, this unexpected turn of events has sent life into a tailspin.   It is at precisely these times, when we all need to be at our best.  To be the calm abiding, wise people we are.

If you have a moment today, take chair pose for a few breaths.  Breathe into the grounding at your feet, feel how your heart lifts and your hands reach up toward the sky.  Embodying this powerful pose allows us to experience our own power and also the source of power around us that enables us to lift ourselves  up and bask in the light and love that is always there.  Thich Nhat Hahn says “No Mud, No Lotus” which means that we must go through the dark, the struggles, the sticky stuff to reveal our true beauty.   In the depths of these uncertain times, dig deep and reach high.  Spring is surely on its way  and this mud we are in must pass.  Grant us the patience to wait until it does.

This week the classes are free for a trial.  If you like it and it works well, I will be using your class cards at a 50% discount or you can pay $10 per class as you go.  Just click on the link and join the class a couple minutes before the start time with the meeting ID.  Its fun and we can interact!

Hey lovelies…

Keeping with my practice, trying to get creative.  Cleaning out closets, baking yummy treats.  Watching the birds eat their meals from my feeder.  They are not disrupted. They do not look concerned.  It comforts me so to watch them flying freely, enjoying the rain.  Staying in, closing off the world creates a surreal sense of freedom of its own.  Try to find things that nurture you.  Paint, write, read, walk in the rain, watch the birds.  Keep your spirits hopeful.

 Our walk yesterday was so rejuvenating and just what I needed. We stayed a comfortable distance away from each other; which felt weird and made me realize how much I LOVE to by in your energy field with a comforting hug,  pat on my shoulder or when I assist you in a pose.  We crave human touch!  Let this distance between us remind us how much we love each other!  I am planning another   walk next week (with appropriate social distancing, of course).  Stay tuned!

Todays walk is now full

Namaste dear ones on this beautiful morning.

Our walk today at Prosser Pines is now full to capacity.

If you have not contacted me directly then you’ll have to catch the next one.   I don’t want to overcrowd the trails.

I will be doing this again next week. I’ll put out a notice where and when.

Prosser Pines is a beautiful Sacred pinr forest  and I love walking there. Furry friends are welcome as long as they’re on a leash. Let me know if you plan on joining us




Important Announcement: All Classes Suspended for next two Weeks

It comes with a heavy heart that I have decided to cancel all the classes in light of the Governor’s new announcement that all “non-essentials” close their doors by 8pm tonight.  Furthermore,  Yoga Alliance (the international registry of all certified yoga teachers) has strongly suggested that we refrain from all “face to face” instruction.

Of course, we do not consider our yoga classes “non-essential”, in fact, I think I would shrivel up and wither away without our Sangha (yoga community) and my practice!

Take heart, I plan on doing a Facebook Live class   and uploading more meditations and videos to my You Tube Channel.  If you subscribe to  Amy’s You Tube Channel you will be notified every time I put something up.   To tune in for live videos, if you are on Facebook, friend me or go to my  Page at Yoga with Amy on Facebook

I am also planning on taking a nice walk on Wednesday morning.  If you would like to get together we can meet at a chosen spot, keep our distance and take a walk with some yoga along the way.  Let me know if you would like to do this and we will arrange the details.  If this works out, we can do it more often.
