Take time to slow down the fast pace of life. Sit still for a minute or three or twenty. Become aware of your thoughts and emotions, of how you are feeling about the events that lie ahead or passed behind. Realize that we have little we can actually control except our own actions and thoughts. When we stop and become aware, we are more likely to act from that place of wisdom, compassion and love instead of fear and confusion. As we learn to be the witness to our own thoughts and emotional patterns, we realize we don’t have to own them, that we can allow them to pass through like clouds on a clear sky. We are never really stuck, we all have the power to freely flow through the river of our lives, steering ourselves in the right direction.
