Yoga this Week – January 15, 2017

**No Tuesday Morning Class this Week**

thoughts

We can either let our thoughts pull us in different directions like wind blows a leaf at will or we can stop and be the still point like a tree, standing firm as the turbulence moves around and through us.  We cannot stop the mind, just like we can’t control people, places or things around us, but we can choose to be the calm force amidst the changing winds.  Meditation teaches us to “be still and know”, becoming still allows us to see our thoughts with clarity so when we leave our practice we have a better sense of who we are and what is really important to us. These truths lie beneath habitual thought patterns, stilling your body, focusing on your breath is like going underneath the water to discover that an entire new world exists beneath the surface..  A world that lives within you. A world that is calm, focused and knows exactly how to be in this sometimes confusing environment of the mind.

  1. Hi Amy, My daughter asked me if you have evening classes and I see you do on Wednesday nights (tomorrow). What kind of yoga does it entail? Would it be something I could keep up with since she wants me to go along with her? Thanks in advance. Robin Sidewitz

  2. Hi Amy.   I wont be at Yoga this evening tonight.  It seems I injured my ankle and am afraid I might strain it.   I will miss it.   See you next week.  Carol S.
