Greetings dearest yoga students,
Love & Light are the only ways to combat darkness and hate. Become aware of your thoughts when they begin to become dark and release them before they take hold and turn into actions or words you may regret. A Sanskrit term found in the yoga sutras is “Heyam Dukham Anagatam” which means “The pain that is yet to come can be avoided.” We all have dark thoughts, we are human, but they do not become real until we cultivate them and then act from that place so remind yourself, again and again, that Love & Light are always the best answer.

Beginning next week, if the weather is not cooperative for Yard Classes, I will accommodate up to four students in the Yoga Room, 6 feet apart with masks. The first four to sign up will get a spot and the rest can Zoom in the room. PLEASE DO NOT COME INTO THE ROOM IF YOU ARE FEELING ADVERSLY IN ANY WAY. We have to make sure we stay safe and healthy. Bring your own props and mats. I will have the air purifier on, the window and door open and fan going. We will see how it goes, this plan, like all plans, is subject to change.
Happenings
We will begin reading “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society” by MaryAnn Shaffer and Annie Barrows shortly. If you wish to join us click the link, download the app and reserve your copy at the library. Can’t wait to start reading! Join Amy’s Book Club
On October 15th, Thursday at 1030am there will be a group hike to the Breach at Smith Point. We will meet at the west end of the parking lot. The hike takes approximately 45 minutes each way, sneakers are recommended. Bring a snack/water/dress in layers and let me know if you plan to join us.
Hi, Amy. If the weather is good Friday, I’ll be there. As for next week and beyond, I was thinking that I would like to be indoors, as I had told you, but what if everyone wants to be indoors? I thought it would be kind of cutthroat to try to sign up first each week, etc., to be one of the four, so if you by some chance get a lot of takers, do you think we should do a rotation, so everyone is sure to be indoors at least some of the time? We can talk this over in person, and maybe you can suggest it to the others. Just a thought that I hope is helpful.
