“In the heart of every person on this Earth
burns the spark of luminous goodness;
in no heart is there total darkness.
May we who celebrate this winter solstice,
by our lives and service, by our prayers and love,
call forth from one another the light and the love
that is hidden in every heart.” Edward Hayes

If you plan to attend the solstice class, please have a candle ready to light, a couple pillows and blankets for some restorative poses.

Take this time to step out of the comings and goings and embrace the darkest of nights as a time of deep reflection. The word Solstice literally means Sun Stands Still. There is a moment of rare stillness as the sun stops before it begins to turn in the direction of increasing light. It is a time of celebration and gratitude for the ever changing seasons of our life honoring both the light and the dark and all the beautiful shades of gray in between.

May the peace of the winter solstice be upon you and yours!

Namaste,

Amy

  1. Hi, Amy. I see you’ve posted a class on New Year’s eve morning. Will that be available in your studio or are you just zoomimg? Please let me know as I would come to class in person if you’re offering that.

    Thanks.
