Yoga this Week & Winter Solstice, December 17, 2017

If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain.
If I can ease one life the aching, or cool one pain, or help one
fainting robin unto his nest again I shall not live in vain.
~ Emily Dickinson

The message in the above quote is powerful and simple;   Emerge from your own suffering and be of service in any small way and your life will have meaning and your heart will be full.  I take this opportunity to thank all of you for allowing me to be a small part of all your lives. Each time one of you expresses their gratitude for this humble space I have created, I am filled with the knowledge that I am being used for something bigger than I can even realize; even if in very small ways.    I cannot express enough how blessed I feel to have the opportunity to use this ancient system of yoga to “ease one life the aching or cool one pain” even if it is just the short time we spend together in class
Never doubt what any small act of kindness can accomplish.  Live from you heart, experience the light the shines inside and reflect the brightness on to another giving them the opportunity to connect with the light they too have within. Most of all, I sincerely hope you enjoy this journey from the darkness into light and receive within your gifts of the holidays, more love than your heart can hold!

Winter Solstice marks the shortest day of the year and the first day of Winter.  As we journey deeper into the darkness the promise of light abounds.  Our winter holidays are festivals of light.  We celebrate the light within and around us.  We honor the warm light of those that are close to us as we come together as one:;  one voice, one breath,  one mindful purpose of giving and receiving peace, love and joy. Chanting, Intention Setting, Group Poses, Sangha Social….  Prior reservations required.  If you have reserved your spot, please let me know if your plans have changed!  ($10 Suggested Donation and a small dish to share)
