“Amazing isn’t it how some people see the basket half empty and others see it half full. Some see life hopeless; others hopeful. Even when things are less than perfect, if you can think of the good, the beautiful, the hopeful, you’ll be more than sustained–you’ll conquer“
–
Even though we are all going through a time in our lives we never dreamed of we can still practice resting our minds upon what is good and beautiful, cultivating hope for ourselves and others. Try to enjoy being a learner when things aren’t going your way. You may just find that by focusing on the positive, the peace and joy of the divine spirit that lives in all things will be close at hand supporting, and uplifting your day. Yield to the darkness at this time of year and allow it to nurture you instead of close you in. Rest, read, cook, be still, light a candle and count your blessings!
Winter Solstice 2010
I am planning to have a Virtual Winter Solstice Gathering on Monday, December 21st at 645pm. I encourage you to wear something sparkly and bright to honor the darkest day and the return of light! Please feel free to bring a poem, quote, reading or thoughts to share. We will meditate, drum, chant and share and watch a slide show of all 11 Solstices here (if I can figure it out)! I will post the zoom link as it gets closer. It would be wonderful if you are called to donate (suggested $15) for a collection for our Friend’s Kitchen that serves those less fortunate in our community.

Hi, Amy. I love these lines and that’s exactly how I spend whatever time I can spare. Just perfect.
Sending light and calm.
