Greetings dear yoga students,
Be brave enough to see the light whenever you can. On this day that celebrates freedom, consider the freedoms you have in your life. Emboss your life with gratitude and reverence for all that you have. Choose to be brave enough to be that light for others when they are struggling. Give yourself the time and space to explore what freedom means to you!
To honor and rejuvenate my own personal light there will be no classes next week (June 27 to July 1st).
Greetings dearest yoga students,
Summer is certainly on it’s way and beach yoga is in full swing. Please delight yourself and make it down to the beach one of these Wednesday nights. It is truly a spiritually uplifting experience, and one that is as fleeting as summer days tend to be. Carpe Diem and cease the day!

See You on the Sand!!!

“A healing day doesn’t have to be extravagant expensive or traditional. Sometimes it just means going to the places that make us feel good” Melodie Beattie
Spent The day in one of my favorite places near my garden.. I was immersed with the sounds of the birds, the music I was playing and the sound of water from my pool. It was calming, tranquil and peaceful. We really don’t have to go looking in far off places. Healing is simply being in a place that makes us feel good.

Hari Om Dear Yoga Students
Taking care of yourself is not selfish, self-absorbed or unimportant. We simply cannot be our best selves when we are scattered, unwell or depleted of energy. Yoga practices teach us to be aware of where we are stuck in body mind and spirit but it shouldn’t stop there. With the awareness comes responsibility to act on what you know. Listen carefully to your inner voice when she whispers “slow down dear one, take some time to fill your well”. In taking action and practicing what I preach, there will only be Friday class this week. Taking a few days off to rejuvenate, recharge and focus on filling my vessel. Next week regular schedule resumes and beach yoga begins for the summer!
Dear Yoga Students,
Hoping you enjoyed this first fabulous taste of Summer in the midst of Spring. Gardening, I literally find my ground and count my many blessings. Wandering on the beach, I sense the immensity and beauty of the world and revel in the space. Watching the sky turn from blue to yellow to pink to black, I allow myself to rest deeply in gratitude.
Do you think you can clear your mind by sitting constantly in silent meditation?
This makes your mind narrow, not clear. Integral awareness is fluid and adaptable, present in all places and at all times. This is true meditation.
Who can attain clarity and simplicity by avoiding the world? The Tao is clear and simple and it doesn’t avoid the world.
Why not simply honor your parents, love your children, help your brothers and sisters be faithful to your friends, care for your mate with devotion, complete your work cooperatively and joyfully, assume responsibility for problems, practice virtue without first demanding it of others, understand the highest truths yet retain an ordinary manner?
That would be true clarity, true simplicity, true mastery.
Hua Hu Ching-The unknown teachings of Lao Tzu: #52
On Children
Kahlil Gibran
Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts, For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you. For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth. The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far. Let our bending in the archer’s hand be for gladness; For even as He loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable.

May all mothers near and far, beyond this world and in it, know how truly precious the love, compassion and nurturing you so freely give is and what blessings you are, were and continue to be.
