Yoga on the Lawn Tuesdays & Fridays at 930am Weather Permitting. Reservations a must for . Social Distancing.

Greetings dear yoga students,

So excited to see all your faces on the lawn and on my screen.  This community is so very important to me and I hope it continues to support you knowing we are immensely connected in so many ways.  As the air begins to clear from recent events, I feel great winds of change coming upon us.  Let us continue to cultivate an inner environment of calm abiding, wisdom and love so we can send that energy out to all we meet and the world at large.  Yoga teaches us to look at our own habits and patterns so we can align them when they get off track.  The eight fold yogic path gives us clear guidelines with which we can purify our behaviors, bodies and minds.  Yoga offers a wealth of knowledge to scientifically create a life full of purpose, dignity, grace to those that wish to have this in their lives.  And I thank you for being willing to study, practice and walk this path with me!

Please take note of schedule changes.

Yoga on the Lawn, Book Group and More…..

Greetings dear yoga students.

Yoga on the Lawn is planned for tomorrow, Friday at 930am  There are a couple spots open of the ten available.  This class will also be streamed on ZOOM, you can access HERE.

If you signed up and plan on coming, please arrive in a mask, (once we are positioned 6 feet apart we can take the masks off if you want) bring a large towel or sheet to put your mat on top of and bring water if you like.  I will be waiting for you on the East side of the house under the big maple tree!

If in the unfortunate event it rains, the class will still be streamed from the Yoga Room.

A few of us plan on reading “Falling into Grace: Insights on the End of Suffering” by Adyashanti, revered meditation teacher.  You can find it on Amazon used for as little as $4.  Let me know if you would like to participate and we will arrange a meeting (somewhere outside, social distancing or a virtual meeting on Zoom).  Here is the book.

Beach Yoga begins next Wednesday.  June 10th is now full as spots are limited to 10.  As things progress,we will most likely be able to increase the amount of attendees.  If you missed this one, there are plenty more to come.  Let me know if you would like to be on the wait list should someone cancel for next week.

All spots for the Goddess Getaway retreat are now spoken for.  Let me know if you have any interest in getting on the wait list.  I’m so excited to be together in community after this long time apart.

Peace and Love to you all!

Shanti

Yoga this Week – May 31, 2020

**Please notice I will be hosting a Social Distancing Yoga Class at 930am Friday Morning this week out on the lawn at my home. and will be limited to 10 people so reservations are a must!  This class will also be available for live stream (hoping it works) if you do not feel comfortable coming in person but please note it begins at 930am. **

With all the craziness in our world, we need our yoga practice more than ever.  When we practice together, in person or virtually, we raise the vibrations of the world.  We encounter our own fears and sorrows so that we can have empathy for others.  Compassion is empathy in action.  Empathy, knowing we are not different after all, leads to a desire to reach out, help someone or simply be kind.  We are all one!  I hope to see you this week either on the screen or in person on the lawn.

“Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed.  Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude”

Denis Waitley

Look around you this morning.  Listen to the birds, feel the sun, relish in the colors of spring.  Call to mind all of your blessings.  Even trials and tribulations are gifts in disguise.  The obstacles in our path allow us to move deeper into our human experience.  Challenging times like these give us the opportunity to move us

away from the material and into the spiritual; drawing us nearer to our divine source that is a constant provider of grace.  We were all meant to be here now experiencing this moment in time, so receive it as best you can with an open heart and a calm mind without any resistance.  May you find peace in this day!

Happy Mother’s Day Dearest Yoga Friends,

On Children

Kahlil Gibran

Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts, For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you. For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth. The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far. Let our bending in the archer’s hand be for gladness; For even as He loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable.
